I am from Cincinnati and just configured after waiting 11 months from the time of my $99 reservation. A new Smart dealer will open in 2 weeks in Cinci and after speaking to the head salesman, I was told that the wait for a Smart after configuring may be around 16 months. So yes it depends on what a part of the country that you live.
