Haven't been to the dealer in a while. My car hasn't need anything since. Just wondering if there are still wait lists for new smarts or has demand caught up?
Still waiting, but the wait time at least in my area seems to be decreasing. When I first made the reservation last July I was told the wait would be 12 to 18 months. It now looks like my wait will be under 9 months.
Smart is getting ready to start importing Fortwos to China. When that starts, I expect the waiting time to increase.
It might even out with the economy here. Because most of the banks are nationalized there, they aren't seeing much of the effects of the global recession/depression/self-correction BS as we are.
When you say even out, are you saying that the waiting lists will disappear and you will be able to walk in and a new non-orphaned/non-reserved Smart right off a Smart lot?

that would be incredible..... I can't find a word to even describe it!!!
THere will always be a wait in most cases. All cars are custom ordered for the customer. It would take 2 months to get your car even if there wasn't a waiting list.
