Nope, it'll never happen. Only if the dealer is selling the demo cars.
Its the beauty of the whole deal. The dealers will always get "list price" for their cars with no surplus on hand.. Now if pensky orders some extra cars and keeps them in "storage" at the docks, the wait might be 1 week. I can assume he would charge an extra service fee for that. That would be a real good idea!!

But didn't Volkswagen do that originally for the New Beetle? What about Chrysler with the PT Cruiser? and what about the Mini Cooper?

Wouldnt count on it for awhile. Even at Mini dealers after 5+ years they are still pretty much made to order with the occasional "orphan" on the lot

Thats true. Are there some country's where the car is not profitable.. more or less a money-loser?

Paraboy- at my local Mini dealer, I believe almost every car on the lot there is open to anybody to come in off the street and purchase.
