Wait a minute, thats not a friendly wave...

...Its the MIDDLE finger!!!

As I was driving into work today I got my first middle finger. At first it wasn't pleasant but then I remembered the stories that I have heard from SCOA before, and then I laughed and said to myself, "I'm an official Smart owner, I've seen it all!"

So there, you owners must see the spectrum from thumbs up to middle fingers to be a well-rounded Smart owner.

It's not even an appropriate sign to give in the situation!
Surely it mean "F*** off" or "Up yours" which in these circumstance make no sense.
These dumbasses can't even get their gesticulations right.

I had someone (on my dusty back window) draw a big circle and put an "F" in the center. It was "Cruise Nite" at a local Diner where I work. I can only figure that one of the antique car owners wanted to make some sort of a statement. Wonder how he would like me writing on is prize and passion????

It could stand for "Foremost" ice cream. Just trying to look at the positive side. I never understood why people have to touch our cars whatever they are. Look all you want but don't touch. You see it at every car show "Please don't touch". Gestures and comments I can ignore.

It may be a more and more common reaction. While filling up the Smart the other day a Chevy Suburban pulled in beside me at the same time. Needless to say to took me a very short time to put in the 6 gallons....then I walked inside and grabbed a Coke. When I got back to the Smart the Chevy was well on its way to the $100 mark. They driver was looking over at my car so I did what I have gotten used to doing...'Hi...'...what I got was a quick turn and not a even a nod hello. May have been a bad day...or a little anger that they have this HUGE vehicle that they can't sell and spend hundreds on each fill-up.

Be glad you're not driving a Hummer. You might be in one of the thousands of photos on 470 web pages on www.fuh2.com

May have been an attempt to draw the Euro oval sign for French cars.

So far today- I was forced into on coming traffic by a B***** when she cut me off (no other cars in our lanes so I know it was on intensional), spit at, flipped off, laughed at and as I was pulling into a parking space a young C*** and I do mean the "C" word, stole it from me then flipped me off when I blow my horn!?!!!!

Sometimes I wish I could thin the herd.
Also,on the good side, I gave 3 tours of my car, answered all kinds of ?'s; I have calmed down since the beginning, was told they are on lists at the dealers, and lots of envious praise. I am starting to enjoy the good parts of ownership but I hope the Bad doesn't get out of control.
