Want TO HAVE ADS ON MY SMART CAR-How?

I live in Central NJ- We have had a Smart Car for 1 month-love it but can't go anywhere without people pointing, looking etc so we decide might as well get some ads on the car- does anyone know how to go about this

Considered doing the same thing. Maybe contacting local advertising agencies or a car wrapping place if you can find one.

you may want to search for 'wrap' ** but you won't find much help. I posted the same request recently and searched old threads. Basically the big discoveries I made were:
1. Don't send off $30 to some company that promises to connect you with advertisers. It's a waste of your $30.
2. Wrapping a Smart may damage the panels, so if you do contact an advertiser, make sure they will pay for new panels if necessary.

Good luck ** and let us know if you have any success.

You can also try to Google 'wrap' 'ad' 'free' and so on ** but I haven't had success there, either, and the one company I did hear back from has since gone out of biz.

The hard part about doing that is finding a company that is interested in paying to do it in your geographic area. National companies are usually all set. Your best bet is to approach local companies or restaurants that do a lot of advertising, or even place an ad in the largest local paper.

Lots of "wraps" here in CA, got one just down the street. You may have to do some serious looking in your state...

are you advertising your OWN business or someone others?

as for the 'wraps', try any sign company. "Fast Signs" is a nationwide company that, i believe, does wraps. you might google them. sorry, didn't put a link on here.

we're thinking about doing the same thing for my wifes business. just doing a wrap on the doors, as i've heard negative things about trying to remove it on plastic panels. if we only put it on the doors, obviously the replacement cost of two door panels would be alot less than an ENTIRE SET!

if you do some advertising, make sure you post pics here on this forum!!!!

i did it in NYC in 02

I had the fun of having the first smart in America in 2001.

in 2002 I was stopped on the street in mid manhattan. The lady worked for a very large sunglass company. She wanted to know if I would consider using my car as a wrapped advertisement for her company.

I agreed and for two month I drove in the area she wanted most exposure.

around Harlem from 110 to 125 street river to river..
then down broadway to Soho and back five days a week.

she paid for the wrap $2500... it looked like a giant sunglass and paid all my expenses and a VERY nice hourly wage.

It was so successful for her that she wanted to do 5 cities but at that time I could only get one car into the country and there were no more available for this project.

so, do some marketing while the market is hot...
