Make sure you check out Tire Rack first. You should be able to knock almost $200 off that price just by ordering them yourself and having the dealer (or local tire shop) mount/balance them.

60k and ONLY worn tires!

That's great!

The 03' Envoy only went 147k before it decided to "kill" itself (cause of engine demise still unknown).

On the Other Hand, my dad's 97' Nissan Pickup is sitting on 187k with some cosmetic issues (rust, fading) but no engine problems to worry about.

Your smart is a testament that the new smarts* are just as reliable as any American car on our roads.

*By now, if you had a 450 you'd be nearing that engine rebuild if not requiring it already (range: 50k-150k)

Wow. I'm sorry to be geographically ignorant, but am I to understand that someone in the US already had 90k miles on their car? That's amazing. I thought I was near the top.

90K, for a 451 sold in the US, I figure that's 950 miles per week, 135 miles per day (7 days a week). Conceivable ... but incredible.

Why figure 7 days of driving? More likely it's 5. Let's assume the car was bought early on, like February 08. It comes to about 180 miles a day with no time off for good behavior. Actually, my usual driving week has me going about 180 - 200 miles a day, but I have several weeks off during the summer and some off days here and there. In addition, I bought my car 5/08, so perhaps I lost 3 months. If the other car was bought later than Feb 08, perhaps that driver's daily total is more like 200-225.
