I bought mine at the end of September and I already have 5794 miles on it. I drove to Mall of America from Louisville KY in it. It was like a 12 hour drive.

11,250 miles in 10 months.. average 45 miles a day when I drive... Next year will definately be higher.

I can't say that the 60K adjustment is unlikely to be necessary. For one thing, I'm only one person, and this is only one car. It's possible that this car is in slightly better condition than average (or worse - who can say?). It's likely that my driving style makes a difference. That said, I have a feeling that you're right.
