The model was a black/black/black pure 451.
The way the crew took the body apart had me scared at first, they were just tearing panels off!
At the end the white suede/black leather interior is nice, but watch those dirty marks.
The customer (quite tall boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko) wanted to switch the solid roof for a ragtop, the crew got one from smart, but it looked like it was for a 450, it didn't fit. No wonder! They had to scratch the idea. So they lined the rood also with white suede.
On the outside, the matte black new finish looks stealthy. Too bad the new alloy wheels didn't have a matte finish to match...
BTW: West Coast just opened the Berlin shop, this was their first project!
New show tonight. The Street Customs show opened a new shop in Berlin. Their first job was a smart car. Flat black paint job and seventeen inch rims. 1,000W stereo in the back.
The stupid thing is that the owner wanted a ragtop. Not the cabrio. They were tempted to pull off the plastic top, but changed their minds. They also had to add power windows. They were also used to body panels unbolting off, not panels snapping on and off.
The owner was very happy. It will be on again tonight.
Thanks JPaul; I do wish to add that the above times are EST.

Isn't Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), which is what JPaul's note said, used in the summer, whereas Eastern Standard Time (EST) used in the winter? If so, it would seem that JPaul's notation is more correct.

I watched JPaul's posted 9:00 program at 6:00. That's 3 hours ahead of 9:00. Label it what you want, Pacific time is 3 hours before eastern time
I'm watching "60 Minutes" right now, It came on at 7:00.
All the gutting of the smart and they used the small pioneer touch screen, the sub and amp were put in back instead of using the cavernous space behind the glove box. the amp could have been put under the passengers seat. the Tweeters were put into the triangles were the window cranks used to be... right were your knee as a tall person rests.
WCC should walk the walk more than they just talk the talk! If we are expected to respect their customs, maybe they should do more than just change tires and seat covers... heck a trained monkey could do that... there is no creativity or exclusivity in that!
In my opinion this time the show has shown their over priced and hollow customs.
if it was a custom shop they could have figured out how to make that roof work. There are many of us posting here that seem to be more creative and adventurous.
if there really was a time crunch the whole crew should have stayed and worked on it.
follow the lead of Chip Foose, totally re-do the car in 7 days.
if you would like to have the fastest street car made, these are it. full legal NHRA Pro-Mod spec, 7 second 1/4mi. 202mph, licence plates, lights, no wipers. (unless you order them.)

I wasn't saying eastern time isn't 3 hours ahead of pacific time; of course it is. I was merely pointing out that you seemed to be adding an unnecessary clarification to JPaul's note that the show times he posted were Eastern Standard Time. In fact, this was unnecessary since he had already noted correctly that the times were Eastern Daylight Time.
