I contacted them back in the spring and they said they could not provide warranty service. As Jeepster said, they would have to be an authorized smart dealer. But, you should be able to take it to any smart dealer, not necessarily the one it was purchased from. I think Columbus is closer and more convenient to me than Pittsburgh.
I wish Penske would allow some MB dealers to provide service, even if they can't sell the car. For smaller areas like WV, this would be a real customer service move. I don't relish the thought of a drive to Columbus or Pittsburgh with warranty problems. If the MB dealer is willing to send a tech to get smart certified and get paid for warranty/maintenance work, then I don't see a major problem. Of course, the Columbus/Pittsburgh dealers in the case of WV would probably see somewhat less warranty work.
