I really like the headlights of the 450 better. Is there any way to convert to this front without changing body panels?

Are you looking at the "Americanized" 450 headlamps (gray plastic) or the original 450 headlights (covered by full clear plastic)?

Answer to both is, no. They are a different shape than the 451s.

more trivia: The term "suprex" was an internal name used by Mercedes for the aluminum block-using petrol engines in the 450.

re: headlights, yeah I like the peanut shape of the recent 450; however, the earliest ones had a wedge shape like the 451.
