I've seen the snowboard on the ski rack package.... But can not figure out the configuration for hauling a surfboard on the smart rack package. If we can not use roof racks (from above; polycarbonate would scratch is my guess).... I may have to make my smart into a "woody" and let it hang out the back.

"privacy screen" or cover for the "trunk". In my Lexus RX300, I could slide a cover over the back area so no one could see what was there. Hubby dearest says it was called a luggage cover (it rolled up as it retracted).
Mish in (it's a dry heat) AZ

Lucky for you, that's standard equipment on the passion.

Radio kit, so we have an optional compatible with the dash for installing aftermarket radios, such double stack touch screens.

Some already mentioned the film kit to reduce nicks and dings. With the shape of the front end, the fortwo is going to be a rock magnet.

Cruise control should be an option on any modern car- city car or not. As a DIYer the parts should be available online but honestly in my case I will work in walking distance of my Smart dealer so this'd be for others.

I'd also like to see CHEAP steel wheels for snow tires for those that need them.

My fondest hope- a diesel engine option! - I think we'll only see that when sales slow.

Stainless Steel brake lines for all 4 corners
Upgrade brake shoes, pads, rotors
Bilstine upgrade shocks
Suspension coil springs wink wink... not the stock parts
Exterior Chrome package KIT
Wheel arch extensions (Fender flairs)
Air dams
Rear exhaust valences
Side skirts
Center arm rest kit
DLR module
Cruise Control module
Access to MB parts and maintenance manuals (I know near impossible but you asked)
Find a competent technician willing to use the MB computer to install an new "tune" re-flash (even considering warranty issues there will be a market for this service)
Smart Car swag like caps, t shirts, and dinky cars
MB tri star emblem
Basic front stock steel wheel and tire as spare
Selection of Perrili, Toyo, Kumono etc tires
Selection of 15", 16", and 17" rims in wider widths

If Smart says there is warranty or safety issues, I call BS. German TUV is much stricter then USA DoT ever thought of in this regard. Most German Smart dealers fit the 451s now with proper offset Brabus rims in 6.0Jx16 and 7.5j x17 with 195x55R15 through 205x45R17s all the time and they provide the proper TUV cert.

I agree fitting rims that require a spacer and 3 lug to 5 lug adapter will never fly from the dealer.

The stuff I am seeing are direct replacement wider rims designed for the 3x112.5 lug spacing and proper offset. There is not a wide selection in styles but they at least are better looking and wider then the factory 9 spoke we are getting

I agree that Cruise Control is a must have...unfortunatly it will be a rare dealer that offers it... currently there is only one source for it from Germany and it is a hack into the system. The 451 was not intended to have CC.

It is a fairly expensive kit too....299.00 euros ( that is like $600 these days)

But we can voice our desires and sooner or later some enterprising American will rise to the challenge
