What is this car? Pic

On the ExxonMobil TV spot about their Lithium Ion battery research, this vehicle is shown.
What is it?

I've been curious too!

I've seen the ad as well and using a TIVO I've rewound it and stopped the ad to study the car. I don't recognize it, maybe it's prototype. It does resemble a smart or the Chinese copy of smart or the Tata (except the Tata is a 4 dr) Anyone else got any ideas?

Might be one of the cheap W450 Chinese knockoffs, somewhat camoulflaged. Hooray for EXXON/Mobil!! Would you trust the dweeb that goes along with the ad to save the world?

I answered my own question

I did a little Googling and found this car.
Green Car Congress: Electrovaya Launches Maya-300 Low-Speed Electric Vehicle; Using ExxonMobil Separator in Batteries
Interesting how MUCH it looks like a smart.

Apparently someone said "ExxonMobil show the vehicle on US PBS TV ads... will the average American TV viewer know that what they are seeing is NOT a smart car."

GRRRRRRRRR!!! I cant post links. Google "hybrid smart car exxonmobil" and it should be the second link starting with "ExxonMobile Developments advertising on PBS... A "smart" in the ad ..."

Is that the same thing as the Electrovaya Maya-300 which is featured in the article I linked to? The article is about ExxonMobil's battery research. There's an enlarged photo available on that page and the two look exactly alike, except for the color and the wheels.
