SmartAnita - Thanks. Everyday is a new adventure and its hard to be in a bad mood driving the little guy around. Definitely not a car for an introvert or someone in the witness protection program. ;)

I'm just still stunned at how high up I am sitting!

If I see someone looking and smiling I smile back, with the dead eyed starers, though, I generally just glance away.

For the most part, in my few times of driving it, at the light I have been mentally preparing for how best to handle it off the line without revving it too high

It seems like nearly everytime you stop, the car next to you wants to start a conversation. I could of sold mine on at least two occassions over the past two days. I had a guy with a BMW 750IL start up a conversation yesterday at the stop light. His comment, with gas quickly approaching $4/gallon - it was a beautiful car.

My husband gets the questions at red lights. I get conversations in parking lots, predominantly Trader Joe's in Upper Queen Anne. The most unusual response was from a woman standing in a parking lot. She was part of a group of motorcycle riders gathering for a Sunday morning ride. When she saw me drive by she screamed ... no words just an excited scream, when I looked in my rear view mirror, she was standing in the middle of the street watching me drive away.

Hi from the UK !

;) hi - have been reading the posts in this thread with great interest ;)

We have had a Smarts here in the UK for several years and now have 2 Smarts in the family !

We are therefore VERY used to the waves, smiles, looks, stares etc

I thought some of you might like to read a booklet put together by one of our long-standing club members but the website will not let me add links until after 3 posts so - 2 more posts coming soon !
