Or, you pull into a spot thinking it's tight and find you've got like 5 feet in front and behind you.
I haven't had the 'bully' problem, but I have been able to squeeze into some small traffic gaps. The exit that I use requires changing multiple lanes after a merge. There is typically a line of traffic in the exit lane and it's not uncommon that people won't allow much space for people to merge in. It's like they thing you're skipping line when you have no choice (after the freeway merge you've got about 1/4 mile to change two lanes before the exit). So, this morning, after driving with my blinker politely on for a little ways, a guy in big Caddy won't back off any and I'm boxed in my lane. There's not much space between the Caddy and the vehicle in front of him, but I squeezed right in and then he decided to back off a bit. After this incident, a guy decides to run a stop sign while yacking on his cell phone as I come to the bottom of the freeway exit. I was really wishing for a louder horn about then...
