What needs to be improved?

As we know Smart is a Euro design trying to make in the automotive big leagues of the USA. Some have made it some have failed. Eventho I doubt that Smartcentral is listening. Let me ask you this. What does Smart need to be more appealing or more acceptable to American driving styles and tastes?

yeah, that was my thought too...and let's not forget a pickup truck version as well!

I think when gas hits $4 a gallon this summer American taste and driving styles will change (if they aren't in the process already!) That said, obviously bringing back the forfour would be important.

I was checking the oil and wondering how to hold the carpet up and engine hatch with one hand, and pulling out the dip stick with the other. Would love a hatch cover that stayed open on it's own.

Subaru use to have a small pickup offering (twice). There was no big following behind it and they stopped making (twice).

Smart for three. A legal and safe way to just barely squeeze a small third person into the back without changing the look of the car. That would be perfect.

Smartdavis, the carpet above the engine has a hook on the right side to hold it up. The engine cover comes right out after you loosen the fastener that keeps it in place.

Thank-you! I completely missed that in my first read of the manual. This forum has been invaluable.

Color code key pad

I would like have color coded lock and un-lock buttons on the key pad. Having them both black is a problem, I keep hitting un-lock when I want to lock the car. Is any one else having the same problem???
