I plan on bringing to show my MINI peeps at one of our monthly meeting. Hopefully January. Other than that probably co-workers giving them test drives.

The list gets longer and longer. Before you know it, I'll have more test drives than they had for the Albany Smart Tour in July!! I'll have to talk to the dealership about a sideline selling Smarts....
Hmmmm... smartsecks? Nah, probably not. It will be this time next winter. Brrrr!
The timing should work out well, because I'm still riding the scooter to work every day. Once the snow starts to fall I'll be in the car, so this time next year I'll be driving it to work. No family around here to show it off to, and frankly, by then everyone will have seen one anyway.
My brother-in-law and I both have reservations about two weeks apart. I'm hoping we can both pick up our cars at the same time. We're planning to make a day of the ride home, about 90 miles, stopping for lunch and hitting the outlets.
One of the future day events will be interesting. A local restaurant (Soda Jerk, Hummelstown PA) has a street rod drive-in on the first Saturday of each month. I thought it would be interesting to take both the Smarts to the event, one with panels and one without.
Since I'm picking it up in Beverly Hills I plan to first do some shopping on Rodeo, filling up the hatch with lots of bling from all the money I saved.
Then lunching at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel after dropping it off with the valet and telling him to find a real big space for it so no dings.
After cruising down Sunset Blvd. all the way to the ocean take a spin up Pacific Coast Highway into Malibu for a sunset drink at the beach where the Gidget movies were shot.
Driving back down PCH under the stars, viewing them through my polycarbonate roof and back into the my garage, where Lexus will have to spend the night outside, sorry.
Most likely, the first thing I do will be to read the owner's manual. (Something I've never done.) That way, I can say that I have, and did.
Second thing will probably be to take a pile of pictures and do the "break-in" thing exactly as directed. Somewhere along the way, I'll get my carPC in there.
Buy a pile of oil filters and some extra wheel/tire combos.
Get a set of new body panels in "the other color"
THinking about that question more thoroughly, I think the very first thing on the list would be to take a break in run someplace....stretch out the rods, get the piston rings broken in...bearings, etc BEFORE any coworkers test drive it!!!
He said dreaming: : "a long Smokey burn out and wheel stand in front of the dealer showroom"... ... ha! back to reality...
A leisurely cross town route headed for the back roads to home 75 miles away. We will show off the new car on main drag of our little rural 7500 population sheep and cattle town... Perhaps a stop at the Flying Goose restaurant we frequent. We will have a cold brew while the owners and wait staff go out and ogle the dinky car. Then home to let our three Boston terriers play with the new kitten while I scold them to not kill it...
Day one will be done. The next work day I will be prepared for all the questions and rides my co workers will demand. My current conspicuous consumption commuter, is a giant King Ranch 4x4 F350 4 door long bed pick up truck, so there will certainly be smart arsed comments about the Smart car fitting in the back of my truck

My boss has one of those, along with all the go-fast parts for the huge turbo-diesel in it....
I'm sure to be taking pictures beside it, eventually...
