What is your Nuttiest Smart Stopping?

I think mine was today. I had a big white van on the 405 freeway chase me down in heavy traffic to ask, over my open convertible top, whether you could lease or buy..and how much... I don't mind a pleasant chat - but not at 60mph!

Be thankful they weren't cell phone photographing you while they were chatting at 60 MPH.

One of my strangest occurred the day after I took delivery. I started a thread about it, here ...
I'll Give you $20 to look at your car

I pulled out of the parking lot of the apartment complex and almost ran over a jogger who walked in front of my little car. He wanted to ask about the Fortwo. He said he had reserved one but changed his mind.

My funniest to date has to be when I was getting ready to pull out of a gas station and a fella on a scooter drove in front of me waving his arms to stop me. When I stopped he told me he was so happy to see me. He and his wife had just ordered a Smart but had never seen one in person. He had to know how we liked it, about gas mileage etc. We have "encounters" just about every time were out but this was the first time we were actually flagged down.

Hmmmm,

I don't remember being in Southern Indiana ?

Sure sounds like something I'd do, though

Probably the fellow who approached me while I was refueling Sunday. He observed that it wasn't electric after all. He asked a few questions about fuel economy and then cautioned me to be careful because, if I was in a wreck, I'd get squashed...he then hopped on his bike and pedaled off...without a helmet...

Is it electric?

I have been asked a couple of times while filling up at a gas station if it is electric. My retort is - if it is, I'm in big trouble here . They then realize their goof and go on asking all the regular stuff.

Is it Electric?

Just after I got it, the same question was asked of me while I was hunched over pumping gas into a fairly empty tank. Without speaking, I stopped pumping, pulled out the nozzle then smiled and waved the nozzle at the inquisitor.
He said, "Oh."

I stopped in to get gas one day, 5 - 10 right? Not this day, I left an hour after my car was filled. As soon as on set of people left another came up. Even the manager of the store came out to have a look. I have one of six in the county, I'm bound to get looked at.

Has anyone looked at getting the window clings that you can print on?
