What's With the Hocky Puck?

That thing really bugs me. Is there any reason it has to be that dang big?

It's for those die hard hockey fans
I really don't know. My first impression was WTF is that? But it really doesn't bother you when you're driving. The rear view mirror blocks the unit.

For crying out loud! The Radio Array Telescope and Aricibo is not that big is it? Must be one HELL of a sensor array in there. What does it do besides tell if it's light or dark. I can get a light sensor the size of a nickel for about that much at Radio Shack.

I was told it's the rain sensor, but most of the rain drops in my area are no where that big. If they get that large, I hope the smart floats..but I don't think I'll get too many pairs of animals in with me.

Oh, you're talking about the rain sensor. I thought you were talking about the hockey puck sized key.

Saw the hocky puck today for the first time, I was amazed at the size. You would think that with a windshield that small they would put a much smaller unit in or relocate it.

Well, don't get mad but what the H E double hocky stick do you need a rain sensor for? Can't you tell if it's raining? Are you too tired to lift your arm up and turn on your wipers? Maybe you could carry a passenger to turn the wipers on for you or train your pet by putting peanut butter on the lever. Sorry for the sarcasm...don't flame me.....just making lite of a totally unnecessary option for people with money to burn.
