Great! IB haven't made a big enough mess with the reserve & configure system. Might as well give them the orphan list so they can mess it up too.

Some dealers, like the Seattle one, are trying to put together a list of reservation holders for their orphans (by car color/feature preference, order by res. conf. #). I trust those dealers to get it right more than I trust Internet Brands.

The dealer network is in control. Consider it a Federal oversight over the State, it retains limited governmental control. The State rules!

Nonetheless, It would have been nice to see a fair and reasonable standard established by PAG. Seattle would have provided a great model. IMHO

I had an email regarding this topic with a person I know at smartusa. He is a good one to believe what he says will happen. They (smartusa) are implementing a plan to do that very thing Seattle is doing. Apparently a lot of dealers are doing this. So give them time and this will be resolved. From what I understand this next shipment of cars is going to be a lot! It will also help until this is plan has been adopted by all dealers; let your dealer know what car you ordered. Tell them if you get the orphan then they can sell your give you car to someone else. But tell your dealer. They might not know who ordered what. My dealer only knows I ordered a passion coupe and it is on the boat now.

I hate to say it b/c I can't do it. Have some patiance and they will come.

I would think that the orphans are on a first come first serve basis and the dealers could care less if you already have a reservation or not. They simply try to sell these cars as fast as they can. But I could be wrong. JMO

I had Tracey at smart of Chandler to put me on the list but I only want a car if is the same as the one I am going to configure. I can wait and it gives me more time to save so I can pay cash.
