Since mine is an 08, I don't know about the gas cap. But the coolant level indicator is on the coolant tank, under the hood:

To clarify your thread's title, I've added "dashboard indicators"... Hope you don't mind.

I thought there was a light or something in the car for coolant level.

No, neither idiot light nor gauge. But remember, the hood is very easy to remove and put back. Two latches, and it slips off.

But remember to put it back on... I drove down through Georgetown once with is just hanging by its two claws... I was the idiot [light], that time.

Instrument cluster with multifunctional display (fuel-level indicator, coolant-level indicator, residual fuel indicator, service interval indicator, trip mileage indicator, clock, loose gas cap indicator)
I know where the fuel level, residual fuel, service interval, clock, and trip mileage indicators are located. The thing that threw me was where they say coolant-level indicator in regards to the instrument cluster and assume the loose gas cap indicator is a light.

I used my brain and got in car and turned on ignition and all the lights on dash lite up. There are oil and coolant light but they're not on the LCD screen and appear to only come on it there is a problem. I love this car so freakin much.
