Another option to consider is on the headliner next to the sun visor or above the rear view mirror (if the wiring can be lengthened to accommodate the distance). Easier to read there and will be less invasive esthetically.

in the glove box - with the door shut! Looks horrible - anywhere. But since function is the key - go with ergonomics, not asthetics, closest to the instrument pod & line of vision.

Nowhere.

That gauge is ugly and clashes with the Smart's interior design.

Forget it, and wait for another that replaces the clock in the pod.

But be sure and save the old clock works for resale time.

Where can we find the scan gauge mirror bracket?

Ok, so let's say I'm starting to like the mirror bracket that was shown for the scan gauge. Where can that item be found? Is it sold where the scan gauge is sold, or is it a custom build? I saw the 'in the small drawer location on the 450, but the 451's radio appears to be different and that drawer is no longer there apparently. Now, I'm wondering where to locate mine when I get it.

I found the item on , but I think I could make it for a few bucks myself.

The 2 piece shaft collar that attaches to the mirror is available at MSCDirect.com and the spacer should also be. The L-angle can be bought at somewhele like Home Depot and the cable exteneion is just a eithernet cable with a RJ45 plug on both ends.
