Who else is still waiting for delivery after a year?

I'm over a year from reservation (4/3) and now being told that it won't be until JULY! That will be a year and 3 months. Who else is in the same boat?

Me too! Resv 3/27/07 Config 10/20/07 (#1180) ... and now the DDE just pushed me back from 3/31/08-6/28/08 to 6/3/08-9/3/08 !!!!

I don't understand. I called last week and they pretty much told me I should have it within a month ... and now nothing!

A buddy of mine resv and configured at least 3 months AFTER me ... and he is already driving his around!!!

My enthusiasm is quickly turning to frustration

I"m simply amazed at the wait time. My gf and I looked at this car from our dealership here in MN around middle of February. I argued it was some time in March. We plunked down our $99 then. I told her to call ever other day just to 'harass' them about getting us up the list. Sooner or later they are going to get tired of hearing your voice and just say, "Screw it, give em one to shut them up". Well, I think it must have worked because we picked up ours last night. Go figure. Maybe it has to do with the city where you live.

Check out the thread "1180's ?" There are several of us in the same year plus with pushed back dates boat. We're comparing vin's to see if there's some pattern. I will say that I got an orphan and think the car is worth the frustrating wait!

I understand how you feel. I reserved 1 day after you and still nothing. I did recieve my 30 email from my dealer...ofcourse that was 40 days ago and still no smart. The computer continues to push my date back. Tonite it is telling me 4-27-08 to 7-27-08.
I dont need another car, I just really wanted one. I have actually thought about saying to hell with smart and looking for a corvette...but who knows.
The thing that chaps my ass the most is the lack of communication with my dealership. I have emailed and have yet to hear anything back. I have called and of course get "voice mail hell" and it is days before I hear back. When I finally do hear back, any questions I have I get referred to the worthless 800 number who when you call them for questions they refer you to the dealer.
It is a big joke! i started bragging to my friends early part of this year telling them my car should be here soon. When they ask where the smart is now I just roll my eye and laugh about how embarrasing this must be for all parties involved. Of course, im involved b/c I reserved one

If it is a crap shoot ... I don't get it ... I actually thought ordering early meant something. Even though I'm happy that people are getting their cars ... excluding orphans ... I get more frustrated when people at my dealership are getting their cars ... and their resv numbers are HIGHER than mine.

I'm happy for them ... but come on! uuughh

Check the DDE again. It's changed today. Now it's telling me 1/18/08 to 4/17/08. Life will be very good if this is correct. Certainly would mean I'd have my Smart car soon. BTW, I was told by dealer yesterday that they had a "glitch" in their local DDE. Not sure if it's tied into the one we can access. If it is—let's hope the issue is resolved and it's accurate.
