Who Makes the Radio for the 451 smart?

Does anyone know who the manufacture is that makes the radio for the 451?

You are once again to the rescue Tom. I have been wondering about this too. Nothing in the brochures or on smartUSA. How can I by aftermarket products if they don't identify manufacturers? Anyway, if you have a 451 smart, please let us know who makes it and any other info you have. Thanks, Regina

If you're thinking of pulling out the factory radio for something else, the make of the radio doesn't matter. You'll need a double din adapter available on eBay for the smart. Then you can mount most anything you want in the empty space.

Some folks have also found speakers that can replace the in door ones without a lot of customization. Last I looked Crutchfield.com hadn't started smart install support, yet. But the do have lots of stuff that would fit the double din spot.

I believe that Grundig makes the radios for smart. They did so for the 450 models.

How can I find a Canadian Radio 9? I like the RDS feature and would be more than happy to put one of those versions in. I saw several years ago on the Smart EU site, that there was an optional GPS radio that you could get. Too bad that wouldn't fit in the 451 dash.

I'd check the Canadian smart sites; likely to find a radio for sale from somebody swapping for an aftermarket unit.

While it's not original, there are lot's of aftermarket double DIN GPS stereos available. Many of them look really good, and could pass for stock. My Pure will not come with a radio, and I'll be installing an aftermarket radio after I get it, which will likely be a fancy GPS double DIN stereo.

Visteon stereo, There is no information available, not even the manufacturer cares to comment.
