I was invited to a smart car focus group in Des Plaines, IL about 3 or 4 years ago (2004). There were 3 focus groups in the US. They were held in Miami, Washington D.C., and Des Plaines (Chicago). We got to drive 3 or 4 smart cars around the area and discussed the cars for about 5+ hours. They even paid us in cash for our time even though I would have done it for free. There were about 15-18 folks invited to attend and I remember most of us were smart supporters so I thought it was a rather biased focus group.
I was wondering if anyone here on SCOA attended this focus group and bought a smart car because I think most of us wanted a smart back then. I took a bunch of pictures with a disposable camera but can't find the prints anywhere.
