Barely interesting trivia, I know, but a way to pass the time nonetheless.
I've been to three: Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Atlanta in that order.
Observations: Atlanta was surprisingly the smallest center in terms of showroom space and available cars. Pittsburgh wins the vertical leap award hands down by being on the 5th floor of the MB dealer downtown. They also had a good amount of space and a few cars to look at. Columbus was the most spacious dealer with several cars on display. Everyone at all three dealerships, however, was friendly and helpful. Although, the Atlanta receptionist probably thought my co-worker and I were a little odd being from WV and making a special trip from downtown just to see their showroom.
Bought cars from 3. My orphan, my parent's orphan, my originally ordered car. Closest dealer was anyones guess as they kept popping around who was supposed to be my assigned dealer. Until Birmingham opened, Orlando and Jacksonville were both about the same distance.
So far I've been very pleased with all three and service has been superb with the occasional hiccup. I'm a very demanding customer - my favorite T-shirt with a witty saying says, "It's your job to make me happy." That's how I treat people in customer service. I do the same with my customers too, they're always right no matter how wrong they may be.
I visited four in Germany this week. Kaiserslaughtern, Saarbruken, Trier, Frankfurt. Also, this wasn't a dealership, THE FACTORY in Hambach! Had lunch there with friend of mine who works there. Also been to San Antonio, Round Rock, & Houston dealers.

Tell us more, tell us all. Not about the lunch, but the place. Since they came back from vacation Monday, the place must have been quiet when you were there...
Did you get production figures, repartition by markets, tidbits and big changes in some obscure rooms? Skeletons in the closets and show cars on the floor? Special editions and outside mods?
How many workers in the plant? How many on-site suppliers?
Inquisitive.

Yes, yes! Inquiring, bored-out-of-our-skulls-waiting-for-our-smart minds want to know!
Is there anyone besides me who has never been to a dealer? I bought my smart used (with about 500 miles on it) 4 months ago and had it transported to my house. The closest dealer is Chandler, about 3 hours away. - sheureka
