I'm at about 1050, give or take a few miles.

I'm excited to start having some real fun with the car

Above 3300 miles. I do agree that shifting is getting better.

At 2600 miles, my smart biru rocks. I'm now on 99% manual, and have just begun to use the ac. Last fillup was 43.9 mpg. Yehaa!

1466 miles in 5 weeks. Got 40.4 mpg on last tank. Shifting manually and keeping <=3000 rpm most of the time. Now shifting to 4th at about 30-35 rpm and seems to be helping to raise mpg.

I think I'm close to 4,000 miles since 2/5/08 delivery but I have to check. Anyway, the car is MUCH improved now that I have far exceeded the break-in period. I still love my little guy!

ANT BEE is Hummin'

We have about 2,000 miles now. Getting a steady 36mpg+.
"Smileage" just gets better and better. I like shifting (my other car is a stick shift). With ANT BEE I use the manual mode especially when automatic lugs in 5th at about 40 MPH. At first I didn't care for the paddle shifters, but I keep experimenting with them. Usually shift 1st to 2nd with stick then move to the paddles.
Another note which I posted in "Technical". Received computer generated three month "Notice of First Scheduled Maintenance" from Mercedes Benz of Cherry Hill. Called Service Department to inquire. Dan said smart first service is due at 10,000 miles or one year (as stated in manual).
No need for a break-in period oil change with synthetic oil.

Yesterday, at about 600 miles, I accidentally revved the engine to 6380 RPM while passing a lolly-gagging biker. I don't think doing that once will harm anything, do you? even though it's past the red line and still young... I hope I didn't "drop him on his head as a baby..."

Otherwise, all seems well! Can't wait to clear 1000 miles, change the oil, and then we're taking it on a trip to Denver MemDay Wknd!

The rev limiter kicks in about 6300. You can run it up there all you want and never to worry...

I have about 520 miles so far. I plan to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL AND CHANGE MY OIL AT the 10,000 MILE MARK>
