Just did my first oil and filter change 1500 miles. Will do the rest every 3000 no matter what smart or anyone else says. My car i replaced the smart with had 237,000 with no smoking or oil burning , running well as it went to its new owner. To each his own.....

Any tips on driving in hilly areas during the break-in period? Picking up my smart tomorrow.

Frankly, I drove her at all speeds and wasn't too interested in gas mileage, but wanted to have her experience all types of driving - freeway, street, stop/go and just changed the oil at 1300 miles. put mobil 1 5-30 extended performance and she now purrs like a kitten... to each is own.

Otherwise, all seems well! Can't wait to clear 1000 miles, change the oil, and then we're taking it on a trip to Denver MemDay Wknd!
Nah, your fine by revving it over the 4000 mark once I can imagine. You changing the oil at 1K?
