Why can't I reserve for a 2nd smart?

Howdy all.

I got my smart (blue/black cabrio) on Feb 22.
I have just over 3000 miles so far.
Love it.

I want to reserve another (and wait the proper 12-14 months).

So, I went to smart USA - open your mind to the car that challenges the status quo and filled out the reservation form.

First automatic refusal was "e-mail already exists"

OK, so I used my alternate e-mail.

Second refusal "Driver's license already exists"
Sorry, but I only have 1 of those (it's a 9/11 thing)

Anybody KNOW why smartusa would not want to sell me another smart?

They do; it takes awhile for your license info to clear out. I just called the 1-800 number and did it over the phone. Worked fine, now have #2 smart reserved.

You could always get on a really long orphan list!

Just use a different email address. I have 2 more reserved that way. My DL # didn't seem to be a problem.

(add a zero at the beginning)
