Will the 08 SMART Fortwo be Micro Hybrid?

Will the 08 SMART Fortwo be Micro Hybrid? Meaning will it stop running when it comes to a stop then automaticaly start up once the gas pedal is pressed. Or will they stay running at all times like most gasoline engines. I believe in the UK those models are like that but what about the ones comming to the US.

At this point, micro hybrid drive (MHD) is not an option for the smarts coming to North America. In the future, who knows (but here's hoping...).

US should have MHD.. it's my only concern

I'm pretty psyched to dump our gas guzzling BMW 325it wagon for a ForTwo... but the ho-hum gas mileage reports are a bummer. The virtues of the MHD sound worth waiting for. After testing the car at the Venice, CA Smart House, I was definitely told, US Smarts will sadly not have the feature for a significant time. It's a pity. As I watch the MPG feature of our BMW's computer fall FAST at a read light, it seems like such and obvious way to give Smart the boast of HIGHEST mpg car in America. Oh how I wish...
