Yep, the X-1/9 had heat problems, but not the 850 Spider I had. Not much engine and lots of ventilation back there. The mid-ship design of the X trapped a lot of heat, and ventilation was poor.

You mean yours hadn't rusted through by winter? ;)

The only noticeable heat comes from the rear exterior ports just below the tailgate.
