I've noticed the same thing and was going to take a razor blade and smooth out the silicone at the top of the separation piece between the fixed and moving window. It felt rough to me and I thought that was causing the air leak / noise.
A week after I got my Smart Brabus I was in an accident. After 2 mos in the shop waiting for parts, I go it back and noticed a rather loud, annoying whistling noise appearing to come from the front passenger side - as if someone were sitting there blowing into a soda bottle - happens at speeds up to 40 and above. I didn't really notice it before the accident, but then, when I got the car, it was summer, I had the top down, music playing, and don't know if I just didn't hear it or if it was a result of the accident and pieces being replaced. Seems as if it was probably there all along, if others are having the same issue. It's been in the shop for a total of another month since mid-October while my "Smart certified" (lol) mechanics try to figure it out. Has anyone been able to determine exactly where the problem is stemming from??
Mine does the same thing. I suspect wind turbulence noise off the antenna and mirror. I would bet if the antenna is removed as a test the noise would diminish or go away. Antenna turbulence noises have been asource of hard to find noises like this for years.
Just my 2c
I have noticed the wind noise too. I have had it in 3 times for this because I noticed it is only on the drives side...
I did some measurements and discovered the driver side door sags about 2mm lower than the passengers side door, but even armed with this information the tech can't seem to get it adjusted to match.
Last visit they even replaced the gasket around the door, it helped a little, but the noise is still there over 55 mph... (which is where I spend most of my 75 mile per day commute)
The funny part is I have wedged a small piece of card stock between the seal and the tridion cell at the top of the door seal and the sound is muffled almost gone.
Its obvious the door just needs to be adjusted up 2mm to match the other door, but the dealer can't seem to do it. I am stumped and frustrated...

Anyone have any suggestions?
How about trying some weatherstripping on the door? I tried it and the road noise is cut down.
I have noticed lately that it seems my drivers door exterior panel is slightly loose. Guess it from the 2+ years of me maybe slamming the door too hard. But now it flaps around a little bit on the highway. does anyone know where and how I can tighten it?

Mine is doing the same thing. I traced mine to the rear edge of the door. If you look at the exterior panel, it forms a "C" that goes over a lip on the inner panel. Over time, mine has wore slightly and now rattles. I haven't fixed it yet, but I'm going to try some 1/8" foam tape on the inner panel lip and see if that fixes it.
I'm surprised I haven't come across this thread previously. I've had the wind noise by the driver's ear (sounds like the window is open a crack) since the car was new, and it drives me crazy. Starts at ~45mph, and gets louder as speed increases. (None on the passenger side.) Every time it has been in for service I have asked the dealer to address it, but to no avail.
With the warranty expiring this week, I insisted they fix the problem. They had the car for a week, replaced the door seal, and the problem persists. Another part "has been ordered from Germany"; they did not specify what it is, but I suspect it has to do with door adjustment. As noted by another poster, the door on the driver's side does not fit as well as the passenger side, and there is almost no latch adjustment.
