(wind) Whistle

Has anyone had an issue with an annoying whistle coming from the front of the car when you go over 40MPH? I've had it into the Smartcenter. They said that my hood was not latched properly but even when they re-latched it continued to whistle... Any ideas?

My smart is actually the most whistle-free car I've ever had

I get some wind noise at about ear level on the driver's side at highway speeds - particularly with a cross wind. No whistles though.

I get the typical rushing air sound at highway speeds and above. But, no whistle.

Padawan, I have a coupe. We share the same dealer and they tried to fix it without success. Actually they made it worse and are planning to try again.

As to whistles, the antenna idea is a good one. In fact, there was a thread on the topic last summer. If I recall correctly ,the main offender seemed to be the stubby antenna's that could be extended. I think one poster's fix was to unscrew the top cap and put an "O" ring around the metal antenna rod and then replace the top cap.

My car is quiet and never had issue or knew others had issue.

Although I sold my smart already, it would whistle occasionally on the freeway. It sounded like a teakettle. Mine was a Passion Coupe. The sound occurred randomly and only above 50 MPH. It seemed to emanate from the top-center edge of the windshield, but noises can be tricky to locate.
