Window Notices For The Curious

I am thinking of making sticker for the inside of the three windows that reads...

Interest & curiosity are good things
as long as you respect the property of others
Has anyone else done something like this? Anyone else having issues with everyone touching and leaning all over your property? Perhaps I'm neurotic but I'd just like to find a polite way to remind people that it actually is someone elses property. I anticipated the curiosity and questions, which is cool. I even got a bunch of one-sheeters from the dealer to hand out for truely interested people. When you are not near your car though, people have a tendancy to treat it like public domain for some reason. I guess I just overestimated the respect level of others and would like to find a nice way to say look but don't touch.

Know what I mean?

At least in my area....this is an invitation for someone to wipe their greasy paws all over the car or worse. I've just learned to live with it. Once the car becomes more mainstream people will get used to it.

No notice ...but...I was within eye sight of the car while eating one day and a family walked by the car and stopped to look. One little girl was all over the car and even pulled the door handle. Mom and Dad just thought it was cute so I hit the lock button on my key about 10 times. Scared the girl enough that they all backed off. Only works when you are near by though!

A label seen on a training aid at Navy Nuclear Weapons Warhead School a long time ago: "If you touch this you will die. If you even look at it you will get pimples."

I agree with you, also I don't care to have to worry about cluttering my car with spec sheets to pass out for the many questions I get everytime I stop.
If the questions get more than I care to answer and especially questions that I feel are to personal (i.e. How much did that cost?) I always answer with, you can go to smartusa.com and find out whatever you need to know, then I hop in and head out.

I mounted these medallions on the Tridion just below the roof.

By my observation, these seem to satisfy everybody's curiosity and have brought the desire for touching to a stop. The car is parked right outside my office window, so I get to watch just about every person who stops to look. Prior to installing the medallions I had to beep them away with the remote lock regularly.

I may hold out from doing signage as well, though I made a decent one.

Here are some smart similar fonts for those interested

Don't have the problem, guess people here just respect the rights of others and their property. I use this to ttell folks about the car:

Revised smart info handout
Modified from someone else's posted on the forum, plus added a second page to address the safety and mileage questions we all seem to get.

Just an FYI, this site was blocked by my firewall (Zone Alarm) as a "known spyware website". May be inaccurate, but thought caution might be advised.

What are you running for e-protection? My Trend Micro doesn't flag the link!
