Window Switch

Happy New Year Everyone!! Does anyone have or know the wiring diagram for the window switches in the 451? The passenger door switch has 4 wires... Purple/White strip, Purple/Blue strip, Grey/Blue strip and solid Brown (I haven't looked at the driver door yet). My guess is the Brown is ground to both the window motor and the light in the switch but I need to find out for sure what two wires are indeed for the light in the switch. I want to add lighting under the door pulls that will shine down in the door storage compartments on both doors. Thanks for any help Craig.

You need a test light with a needle probe.

The brown wire is a common earth and Grey/Blue is the common power.

Lights installed

Well I got the L.E.D.'s installed and they look great! I endded up using amber coloured one rather than blue, which was my first thought so that they would match the read speakers, but the amber ones look great with the dash lighting colour. I would like to share pics but I haven't had any luck with figuring out how to do that on this site it always says I'm not authorized. Craig

Craig, if you're following http://www.smartcarofamerica.com/for...-threads-6576/ you should be able to post photos; is the only error message you get the "not authorized" one?

Courtesy lighting

Hello-- I would use a LED strip and take it directly off the battery. Activate it via a TD relay from an active switched line.
Good luck! :woohoo

No... it just has to be hosted on a website. If you'll email it to me I'll post it.
