Windows fogging.

Anyone else experience constant window fogging? It's been rainy here for over a week. But at moderate temps, say 50-65F, I must run the AC to keep the windows clear. When I turn on the AC, the windows defog in seconds. When I turn it of (with the intent of saving fuel), they fog up also in seconds. Just a quirk of the Smartie? Or is something wrong?

It must be due to the relatively confined space of the cabin. Same here, nothing wrong. IMHO.

•Turn off your recirculate button. (If on)
•Crack the window a little.
•Run defrosters, not the AC.
•Stop breathing

Definitely trun off the recirculate button. I pushed it once and it took about 30 seconds to turn the inside of the car to a rainforest.

Use of the AC definitely improves the window clearing ability, that's why the compressor runs automatically when defrost is selected. The AC very effectively removes humidity from the air.
If you really don't want to run the AC, the AC compressor will not operate with the control knob one notch to the left or right of the defrost icon (12 o'clock).

Also, as stated earlier by Smark and Sylen, disengage the recirc button if you're trying to clear the windows! The air outside is virtually always lower in humidity than the recirculated air inside.

When you run the defrosters. The AC compressor turns on.

Stop doing whatever it is you're doing in there to fog them up in the first place.

Kinda tuff to do much without reclining buckets.

Actually after doing a run or a fast paced bike ride, I'll jump in my car and fog all the windows up. Yes, the bike actually fits inside if I break it down.
