You assume correctly!

I sure hope the drought ends here so I can see my wipers work...

We finally got some rain in the LA area at the end of the 10th Anniversary Rallye yesterday, so we were able to drive home in the rain. We have the rain sensing wipers and they will go fast, then slow down, and then go to intermittant. Everything seemed to work like it is supposed to. If you don't like this feature you can turn the wipers on/off by not leaving the wiper stalk in the intermittant mode. If you don't have the hockey puck on the windshield, you don't have this feature. It is part of the comfort package and the same sensor operates the headlites automatically.

Big thanks for the tip! I'll hit the washers the next time the wipers take on a mind of their own and start turning crazy.

We have "normal" wipers on our Pure model, and I haven't had the wipers on high when coming to a stop, so I haven't noticed the slow down feature. There are 2 speeds plus intermittent, and they work just fine, though I am disappointed that the intermittent runs at a single cadence and does not seem to have a variable speed adjustment. Also, more than once I have pushed the lever too far when turning on the rear wiper and unintentionally turned on the squirts.
