Worth It?

I just received my email to select car and give options. I would like to know if this car is worth it considering all the problems etc? Do I go ahead now or wait a year or so to get one. I don't need a problem experimental car. Is it fun or do the problems take away the fun? If you had a choice, would you still by the car? Just want some feedback, I have to decide by tomorrow. Thanks

That is a decision only you can make. If we thought it was a bad decision we would not be wasting our time in this forum. For me I will wait another 6 months.

Well if that's your only options, then my guess is, you don't really NEED to get a car today or tomorrow. If you CAN wait until next year, you will gain more knowledge about the car (and the problems you think it has), you will have more accessories options for the car, and you might have less of a wait time.

Until then, you are losing out on a lot of fun of driving a great car.......sorry I can't help you here.

I've had a significant number of probs.. but I'm still digging the car a LOT. Time will tell, but just ordering it means if you psyche-up and really want it, you're set. In my experience, being close to the dealer (walking distance) and having a back up car or two, makes things easier.. that said, I surely haven't appreciated being the 'first with that problem' over and over at my dealer. Everything in life has its virtues and vices. It's a fun interesting ride.. inarguably.

Note: the original 450 has sold at least 780.000 copies worldwide, and the new 451 has just passed the 100.000 mark. Hardly experimental!
The only sort of experimental devices about the car are the US required adaptations. Such as the sometime sticky gearshift box with PRND/+- And that issue has been addressed.

I'd say go ahead and order. You'll have time to analyze the vechicle long before it's arrival. Keep other options open so when you need to finalize your decision you'll know what your other choices are.
