Man does that Area-51 Cruise control work great, had it put in and took it out for a test, I could not find a hill where it would let go (release) I expected to pay $300.00 for the installation and it was only $150.00 The garage now knows how to do it, so the next one should cost half as much.
Anyway finely I have my Smart set up the way I envisioned it when I ordered it back in early 07 with my Armrest and cruise.

I'm happy they "passed the savings on to you" when they figured out the installation was pretty straight-forward. Congrats all around - the Area451 is the best performing cruise control I've owned.

I did find a hill where it dropped 3 mph over the 100-200 yards that were pretty steep. It didn't "let go" but the amount of accelerator didn't "push" the transmission into another gear. Not a normal cruise control situation and I can always switch to manual to drop the gear. Yay!
