Wrecked smarts

I am looking for a totaled smart that I can get various parts from in or near the Chicagoland area. I am looking for TPMS sensors,a black dash top and maybe a seat to make a test cover for. If there aren't any around here can some one help me out? I know how much I enjoyed going to the junk yard to get parts for my R5,just walking around looking at the wreaks thinking about what happened..........................

I could let my wife drive ours more often. That would increase your odds.

I have the same problem. My wife keeps threatening to drive it. She knows which of the two is my favorite car and keeps asking which is hers - I tell her neither so she says Kermit is hers while she loves the color of the other car.

She still will not drive either...........everyone in Florida took a vote and agreed she should stay off the road.

So my wife drives off in "her" car for a day of errands and comes back and says we need to get the engine tuned up because it's losing power. I scratch my head and walk outside and notice that she has been driving on a flat tire. It's shredded. At least the rims are still OK.

That wasn't binding.... Palm Beach County is still doing the recount.

My wife did that also, but it was in Minneapolis and was -25. That was fun trying to find a tire on a Sunday.

I've received a couple of e-mails about picking up whole cars from insurance auctions. I am only looking for pieces from a wrecked car not the whole car itself. I don't have the space to store a whole car nor do I want to spend that kind of money. I am looking for slightly used pieces so I don't have to pay the prices at the dealership. I bought the pods w/rings for $187.00 from smart-parts-direct with S/H and what are the dealers charging?
