That's an alternate hookup. You can hook up from the back or side. I would be witty (actually snotty) and quote some page number of the Scangauge guide and belittle you publicly

but nah - that's not how I roll.
I used to hook mine up from the side when I used the Scangauge on my Toyotas then when I swapped them into the Smarts I plug in from the back.
Ditto on the clock - I use my tick-tock-tach clock more than the digital one.
NCC - How about questions about that Crookes Radiometer you have on the dash? I still need to head down to the science store and get one.
