Has anyone had experience with this? Yakima has an application - Q Towers - for popping a roof rack on top. I just want to get my 10 foot 42# plastic kayak down to the river without having to get one of those Canadian trailer packages from SmartUniverse. Has anyone used the trailer?

Hal. I can't figure out how to post a link but if you go to the search and type in Yakima rack fitment or fitament (I am not sure how they spelled it) you should find more info for the Yakima attachment procedure. Russ
I tried the yakima site and the info lacks detail. As for what it looks like - I used to have a '76 Honda Civic and a 16' canoe on top. It pretty much made it look as if I came to a body of water or stream all I would have to do is turn upside down - with the car on top of the canoe - to proceed.
I also have a 17' sea kayak that I have to transport as well. We'll see just how smart the Smart ForTwo can be!
