If smart would bring a Pure Cabriolet to the US, I'd put my $99 down right now. I'd love to have a stripper summer runabout to park next to my Passion Coupe.
Thinking about going with a white/white Pure this time.
Probably red cloth, air-con and pods. (May be overruled on seats as the heated leather is wonderful on cold days. (Although this one is supposed to be the summer car. )
Never again with paddles or sunroof or magic wipers, or microwaves , or fogs.
Considering trading my wife's Mini Cooper S in and getting a second smart. These will be our only rides though and we would really like to keep a "larger" car like our Mini. Still might make a second plunge and the topic comes up every time the wife is around my smart.
Reserved in December. Picked up an Orphan Cab in late March. This weekend, our Lexus dealer bought our RX400H out of its lease 6 months early, leaving us with 2 2-seaters (our cab and our SLK350).
One of the "tests" before turning in the SUV was to make sure that the Smart would hold luggage for 2 for our weekly trips to the airport (since the SLK will not). Not a problem! Simply stand the bags on end.
Our estimated delivery of our reserved Smartie is Sep-Nov '09, and we'll probably buy it.
We'll see how we do with the 2 2-seaters - how often will we have to rent a 4-seater.
Got my reserved Cabrio in mid-March. Wife immediately fell in love with it so we now have a second res. in the system. DDE just popped a date yesterday of 10/09, she'll probably wind up with a 2010, unless we succumb to Orphan Fever before then.
We adopted our first smart "Maxwel" April 2006 and our second smart "Agent 99" came home April 2007. They are both 450 Passion coupes. We were hoping they would mate and bring us a little smartette but no luck so far. We hope they keep trying.;)
We have no plans to adopt another smart at this time but if I can figure a way to adopt a roadster, all bets are off.
