Mine will be Feb 1st and we are havimg a party with lots of other smarts on Feb 8 at the Orlando Dealership!!!
Our smart's birthday is coming up in about 3 weeks - there's a nice little logo on the dash that announces it. A little wrench appears and the odometer shows a number - this appears a month before the yearly service is due. Ours lit up this past week - today it shows "-6" which means that 6 days ago it will one month before the yearly service is due. Since that doesn't coincide with the day we took delivery I can assume that it is counting from the day it became "alive" at the factory...
I got mine in March of 2008. I did not think of having a birthday for it but I think that is a neat idea. Do they make party hats big enough for a Smart car?

So at the factory as it is being completed, there is a guy with frizzled hair in a white lab coat throwing a large switch saying 'Its alive, Its alive'?

ah ha! Mine has come on too, took delivery early February, I called and service person thought it was a bit early. But after reading this thread it makes more sense.
Zippy will be one year old on Feb 4th. Well, he's a bit older, because he was an orphan and I believe he languished for a few weeks. His build date is 11/07.
No party planned, but I might have a little intimate celebration for just the two of us.

My Maxxwell's birthday is Jan. 19th. I am in agreement with someone earlier...Plan on a bath and not much else. Russ
