Any New Cars at Milwaukee SmartCenter?

still havent heard anything here either. Got our 30 day notice about 35 days ago...still waiting. Heard from Tony in early Feb that it would be about 45-60 days so i am hoping that it will come by the end of the month. Kinda bothered by the fact that the cars dont seem to be comming in numerical order. A few people with higher numbers than mine at 1177 have gotten their cars already.

Our car came in over a week ago - haven't had time to pick it up (or even look at it!) - we hope to get it in the next few days...

MercuryX100, you are a 1215. Is this the car you ordered or is it an orphan? Did you get the 30-day email notice from smart, or was your first notification directly from the dealer? As an 1180 myself, I'm wondering what is going on and not hearing of any activity through MKE.

We got the 30-day e-mail 02-01-08. Much to our surprise we got the call 02-25 saying our car was in and ready for delivery. Not an orphan, just what we ordered last April and confirmed in October.

Having seen MercuryX100's post, I decided it was time to try to find out where mine was in the pipeline. I've been trying to be patient and not bother the dealer, but I figured maybe an email wouldn't hurt at this point, particularly since I've heard nothing from smart since I configured.

The initial response from Ryan (who left his email address in another thread) was that he had not yet seen anyone get their vehicles out of order, but he believed it could happen. He referred the query to a Brand Specialist. Tony then emailed me saying that although he did not have an exact update on my vehicle, they had received notification that I was on their list. "At this point we are looking at up to 90 days approximately for delivery. While there could be a possible earlier arrival, I can't narrow down the arrival date any further."

Getting frustrated at the process won't bring it any quicker, and I'm sure that the folks at Bergstrom have no control over how quickly it gets here. I'll post again when I get any more news. This may sound discouraging, but I figured some news was better than nothing, so I don't want people using this post as an excuse to get angry about the process. I'm banking on the hope that "up to 90 days" is a CYA move and that it will arrive sooner than that.

Please everyone, keep posting updates in a Wisconsin thread as you learn any more about your own orders.

well, if MercuryX is telling the truth someone at Milwaukee Smartcenter is lying because i'm number 1184 and have not heard a peep. I don't like to bug people but I'm gonna get on the horn with smart and find out what the deal it cuz Tony told be I'd be the first in Green Bay to pick one up and I have heard sightings of 2 around town already and I know 1 is for sure from GB and was on the list.

Is it possible that the delay has something to do with how you configured you car? Perhaps an option or package is causing - for whatever unknown reason - the delay? (I haven't even received notification - though it seems that doesn't necessarily mean anything - and I'm an 1182). Just a thought.

although (for instance) you would think that the pure model would be a hard to get, later versus sooner as it's less popular versus the passion and cabrio and we already know that a few pre-ordered ones (not orphans) have been delivered. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the 4-digit resv # anymore (other than the 1173's which were the first day) as it seems to vary within a metro area (like us in Chicago). Perhaps the next move would be to get added to the orphan list but I do plan to wait a few more weeks to see what develops (as of course as you know we had more snow last night and TONS of salt on the road even though it was only a dusting!)
