Got into Ames yesterday afternoon and had a great time being shown around the town and the Iowa State campus by jefferios and smartah. Finished up with a car cleaning session and then dinner at a great barbecue place. Off on the Tour de Iowa later this morning, 17 smarts scheduled for the trip to Des Moines with an interim stop for lunch at a Sonic drive-in.
Over 600 miles from Dayton one way, the car continues to run really well and handles the Interstates with no problems. BTW, gas in Iowa is (relatively) cheap, $3.32 a gallon for regular here!
