Picked up my Passion Coup this morning in Milwaukee. Very pleasantly taken care of. Ended the day with 89 miles added to the odometer. Car handled very well. Traveled back to Milton via Burlington and ran into snow. Ended up driving in about 3" of the white stuff. I was surprised with how well the smart hugged the road. No slidding around at all.
People do take notice. Driving down Hwy 100 south out of Milwaukee brought a lot of looks and thumbs up. My wife was following me and called on the phone to tell me that I was creating a jam on the road. This is a three laner and cars were crowding around to get a better look as I drove.
Reached Milton and stopped at the grocery store. Now get this. Its already dark, snowing and people are running me down in the grocery store to ask me what that thing is out in the parking lot and where did I get it! So, the first day has been a fun day.
I don't have the time right now to give you any extra costs that I had but I'll post those in a day or two plus how it goes for my milage.
Good to hear you got your car. Could you post the details in the Official Delivery Thread (if not done already) and photos in the Got My smart section of the Gallery when you have them.
Thanks for your drive-home report… I enjoyed reading that.
Isn’t the gang @ Smart Center Milw great... I’m so glad to have nice people like them to deal with.
BTW my wife’s yellow/black Cabby should arrive sometime next month (1182) and that will make 2 Smarts in the garage… I can’t wait for that.
What color & model did you get?
Milton, will never be the same now that you’re driving around it in a Smart. You'll learn to smile when you drive because everyone else is smiling back all the time. It's actually hard to leave home while being angry or grumpy driving a Smart because everyone's smiling and pointing at you, you'll quickly snap out of it. lol
Our car is here......and...SOB.......can't pick it up until Thursday d/t business.
Darn!! Thanks for the info about the snow, etc. Can't wait to drive it. And, yes, the people at Bergstrom have been super ...
I test drove at Milwaukee smart center last Saturday. It's a greater car than I imagined. You don't feel like you are in a small car as posted in other threads. The seat is high and feels close to the seat height in my RAV4. Engine is quiet and has power. (I half expected a sewing machine). I'm impressed with the car and the smart center. It was a good experience! Go down and see for yourselves. Those who got their cars (I heard 5 in the state), please continue posting and keeping us updated.
