Me too! But just in case I'm planning on stopping by once a week from now on to get in person updates and a little face time. What's the old saying... "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". Tyrone said there will be a grand opening for all reservation holders once they officially open for business. Hopefully we will be contacted soon!

Stopped by Omaha dealer today and talked to Ryan the Smart salesman, they will be opened Jan 2nd, and hope to have demos by Jan 15th. He showed me around the showroom, they were working on it. The test on american models showed 33 mpg to 47 mpg, depending on the driving. He felt they would benefit from being one of the only dealers that do not sell Mercedes, I have no idea why. He has been to the Smart training class, seemed knowlegeable, and nice. He said his brother will be the other Smart salesman.

I stopped by today and also spoke with Ryan. Not much new to report (although Ryan did mention there will be some "media" coverage on Jan. 2.) Also with Jan. 2 being the official openning that should mean they get the reservation list (and should be able to tell us our place in the queue and the status of our cars.) I'll stop by Jan 2 and find out.

Got an email from Ryan this evening stating the Omaha Dealership will not officially open tomorrow (1/2) as the construction is not yet complete. No ETA was provided... Hopefully soon!
