smart center Indianapolis: cars arriving

Some cars have begun arriving at the smart center in Indianapolis.

I think that more and more will be trickling in during the next few days.

I hope mine is in one of these arrivals?

how many ?? i have a 1173, but was told i was not in the first 20, so am hopeing for lots of cars coming in,, keep your eyes open for WMEEJ31X58K086214 yellow with silver stripe , with the instruments,,, i would drive by thier but it's 75 miles

I think they got maybe 3 today. I don't know how many in total they'll get over the next few days or weeks though. I'll drive by there later today and see if I can see anything. I'll continue to update this thread since I work very close to the dealership.

How did you find out if you were in the first 20 or not? Did you get the e-mail saying yours was coming in the next 30 days?

i talked to Max at the dealership and that is what he told me, i think the packet they got last thursday had the info in it

That's interesting because when I asked him, he said he didn't know where in line I was except that my car had arrived in Baltimore.

Well, I hope I don't have to wait much longer.

did he give you the vin# if so you can find out how long it has been in baltimore mine has been their since Dec 13 ,, now i know what my sister felt like after her first date, wating for the phone to ring the next day and not letting anyone in the house use the phone

Yes. Mine has been in Baltimore since 12/27.

However, I confirmed mine 9/12.

Oh well, it's just a waiting game now. I'll post any new information I get.

I don't know why I'm more excited about this purchase than I was about my other cars. There's just something about the smart.

Hey T-bone and SMARTYPANTS-- Please do you best to get them to drop any extra fees that they try to charge if they do. If you can get out of fees (and hopefully they will not charge any other than what is agreed to by smartusa) it makes it easier for those just days or weeks away to fight the fees as well.

All you should be paying is:

Sticker price
Tax
Destination charge
license and registration

Thanks Meaux for the above! I was excited to see the cars arriving as well but I've done some more research and Indiana is able to charge a document fee, they just have to be able to "document" that the document fee is a true reflection of costs incurred. I don't think that means anything frankly. I can inflate anything as long as I justify it. Thanks guys, for keeping us posted!!
