Smart on used car lot

There's a red/black Passion on the Miracle Motors used car lot on Morse road. They want $19,950 for it (I guess they want to keep it on the lot).

You can find it on ColumbusCars.com too.

....and on 'autotrader.com' as well. i "checked" into it and yes, as of yesterday evening...STILL THERE!

but ya know what? someone will pay that price. there's a number of Smarts on autotrader.com, mostly for sale by individuals who bought them only to make a buck. a Cabriolet was listed for $23,999 and another for $20,000. i think they figured they could turn in quickly and put about $4-5K in their pockets.

ah, the American way! too bad those of us who actually want to KEEP their Smarts have to wait in line behind those who are simply looking to make a PROFIT!

Another reason to hate the $99 refundable reservation program, should be more like $1000 refundable at purchase time.

Unfortunately, the $99 program was not just to get us signed up, it also helped locate areas of concentrated interest, locations for dealerships, and what products were most popular, so the manufacturer could plan production. It produced a number of surprises for smartUSA/Daimler, as well as some frustration for us, the waiting ones...

True, but I would have to agree with GHammerly $1000 refundable at time of purchase would have given the same only MORE accurate results!
