gatchman hasnt posted on this thread but hes on here too.
curtis ...im guessing your reservation # is not 1148 but more like 1184 or 1185
i just looked up our reservation date which was march 23rd,....im also guessing you may have heard that the last 4 digits of your reservation # is the # of days from april 1st 2004 that you made your reservation.
you should be getting a call soon. i would think. Or call Ryan, Tony, or Lindsey at the dealership.

Cutis...i think the reservation #s start at 1170...we configured November too.....shouldnt be much longer.

Giant Killer...how did you get so much information?????....the dealer doenst seem to know that much when we call.
If you get your vin no. from Ryan you can go on the cargo tracking post and find the ship it's on. They were told that they were inspecting the cars at the port befor shipping to the dealer. And they thought they should err on the long side than get your hopes up too soon. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Just got done driving mine. loving it. Put the top down on the hiway @80mph (it got up there while I was putting the top down) 26degress and sunny. I wasn't even cold, heater was on but not very high. Wearin only a sweatshirt.

Angel, Thanks for catching my dyslexia, yeah my correct number is 1184, hoping to get the call soon, I went down and saw Tony in Milwaukee and tested out that orange-ish red colored demo car, was fun but the weather was nasty that day and I was afraid I'd put it into a snow bank.

Another Wisconsinite here! Madison/Spring Green area.

I picked up my Yellow/Black Cabrio on 2/15 and it's been a blast driving it! The snow isn't a problem, but sometime the ruts in the ice on the road can slow her down a bit. Turning from a stop on ice takes some patience, but on dry roads it's been so much fun! I gave her a bath yesterday and it took all of 15 minutes from wash to dry.

Anything happening in Milwaukee?

Is anyone getting news of anything happening in Milwaukee? Obviously not every buyer is going to be monitoring this forum, but there just seems to be a total lack of news.

I'm an 1180 in Madison, happened to be in MKE on 2/11 and took a test drive, and there was a Blue/Black Passion set to be picked up the next day - same exterior as the one I'm waiting for, different upholstery. Perhaps it's just as well to not have it in Madison this winter - it would fall in one of the potholes and never be seen again. Tony told me at the time (if I remember correctly) that they have about 6-7 coming in each week, but he knew nothing about my reservation. He repeated what I had heard before, that with this reservation date, I should be getting it first quarter.

If anyone has more recent news to report about Milwaukee deliveries, I'm sure many others would also like to hear it.

CliffK, It's too bad the dealers and SmartUSA are so not in touch with what's going on, A friend of mine that bought a mini a couple years back got a tracking number and was able to see what was happening every step of the way including the ship it was on. Tony is a great guy and the people at Milwaukee Smartcenter were awesome when i went for a test drive but i wish the communication was better. I'm 1184 so I'm hoping March will be the lucky month...As for you rwj53, I would try to get a cool orphan..

"As for you rwj53, I would try to get a cool orphan.."

rwj53 might get his sooner than we will! If he goes for an orphan, he can get on the lists for the two Illinois dealers as well.

Meanwhile, I just received confirmation yesterday from the DOT that my personalized plate reservation was accepted: AGENT 86. For those who are not old enough to remember the old Get Smart TV show, the timing of the new movie coming out is fortuitous.

Waiting, waiting, waiting...

Snow and smart

Hi all! Just got back from wonderful few weeks in Florida....didn't drive the smart down tho. (2 wks. worth of clothing, snacks, cooler, and 2 golf bags) - I pack well, but not that well. Anyway, we only saw 1 smart the entire time, and it was seen outside of Madison!!! blue/black........looked so cute driving down that interstate! I can't wait to get out tomorrow and drive the car.....! Hope you all are enjoying yours. And hopefully, someday the snow will stop falling. We live in a subdivision that doesn't always get plowed by the time I go to work, and in 6 inches of snow, there isn't a track I could follow. So I don't think the smart is the greatest trailblazer
